Description
Japanese whisky became famous worldwide and among all whisky enthusiasts for their graceful finishes, and light fruity notes. Yamato special plays off of the traditional flavors we all know and love about Japanese whisky, but added a cask strength version of our first release of Yamato to preserve all of the flavors, and richness in this whisky.
Yamato special has hints of youthfulness while showing some aged quality as well. Some vanilla, a little herbaceous quality. Noticeable sweet malt quality and a rich cereal grain flavor as well. A nice and easy sipper, and a perfect entrance into the world of high-end Japanese whisky.

Really liked this one. Yamato Cask Strength Japanese Whisky felt balanced from the first pour, with a good mix of sweet and vanilla. It is the kind of bottle I would keep around for weekends. I liked that it tasted close to what the product notes described.
