From the heart of Jalisco, where the finest Blue Agave Tequilana Weber thrives, comes the exceptional Porfidio The Original Tequila Extra Anejo. Every facet of its production speaks to a dedication to purity, authenticity, and craftsmanship. Cultivated from 100% non-GMO seedlings, each Blue Agave plant matures in Jalisco’s rich terroir. Through cold-pressing and cold-hydrolysis, the raw agave’s essence is carefully extracted, ensuring the preservation of its intricate flavors. An emphasis on bio-fermentation at a precise 22°C allows the Destilamax yeast to work its magic over 7 days, leading to an impeccable base ready for distillation.
The tequila is then double-distilled in a hybrid copper pot still, ensuring only the purest spirit progresses to the next stage. But where it truly attains its distinction is in its extensive aging process. Lying for 5 years in virgin Quercus Alba oak barrels sourced from Pennsylvania, this tequila’s character deepens, drawing from the wood’s rich tannins. This meticulous 15-year journey, from seedling to bottle, culminates in a tequila that stands testament to patience, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
