Description
A masterpiece from Jalisco, Porfidio The Maximus is not just a tequila, it’s an experience. Elegantly presented in a hand-blown crystal bottle, its contents promise an unparalleled journey for the senses. The tequila’s origin, the Blue Agave Tequilana Weber, is nurtured in Jalisco’s fertile lands. Following strict standards of production, it is 100% non-GMO, vegan, and gluten-free. The extraction process is methodical: using cold-pressing techniques to maintain the raw purity and hydrolyzed with active enzymes.
The fermentation is purely bio-driven, using the unique Metschnikowia Agaveae yeast, an indigenous agave yeast, ensuring an all-natural process over 7 days at a regulated 22°C. After double distillation in a hybrid copper pot still, the spirit finds its home in Pennsylvania’s Quercus Alba oak barrels, undergoing a remarkable transformation over 8 years, infusing it with intricate nuances.

Porfidio The Maximus 5 Year Tequila Extra Anejo was a good choice for the shelf. It had a warm feel, and the oak came through without covering up the agave. I would buy it again for guests. I would keep this around for a casual night at home.
