Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon Whiskey 750mL is a rye whiskey. Tasting profile: Floral aromatics layered with fig, dried apricot, and candied orange peel; Velvety texture with notes of toasted walnuts, raisins, vanilla, sweet spice, and rye heat.
46.3% ABV | Finished in 20-Year Oloroso Sherry Casks | Solera Aged | Award-Winning Bourbon
Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon is the first American whiskey to use the centuries-old Solera aging process, a method traditionally reserved for Sherry, Madeira, and Cognac. This innovative approach involves layering whiskey in a pyramid of barrels, where a portion is periodically drawn from the bottom and replenished from the top. Over time, older whiskey continuously mingles with younger spirits, creating unmatched depth, smoothness, and complexity.
To finish, this solera-aged bourbon is matured in rare 20-year-old Oloroso Sherry casks, which infuse the whiskey with rich fruit and nut notes. Bottled at 46.3% ABV, Hillrock delivers a refined, full-bodied flavor that stands apart from conventional bourbon aging.
Nose: Floral aromatics layered with fig, dried apricot, and candied orange peel.
Palate: Velvety texture with notes of toasted walnuts, raisins, vanilla, sweet spice, and rye heat.
Finish: Long and warming with echoes of sherry-soaked fruit, honeyed oak, and cinnamon.
First American Solera Bourbon: A revolutionary take on aging, inspired by Old World wine and spirit traditions.
Oloroso Sherry Finish: Finished in rare 20-year-old casks that elevate fruit and spice notes.
Award-Winning: Recipient of multiple Double Gold and Platinum medals from top competitions worldwide.
Unmatched Complexity: Continuous blending of aged spirits ensures a rich and evolving flavor profile.
Estate Distilled: Hillrock is one of the few distilleries to control every step from grain to glass.
Sip neat to appreciate its smooth, sherried richness or add a few drops of water to unlock deeper spice and fruit notes. Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon also excels in elevated bourbon-forward cocktails like an Old Fashioned or Boulevardier, adding layers of complexity with each sip.

Katherine King –
Hillrock Solera Aged Bourbon Whiskey was a good choice for the shelf. It had a rich feel, and the oak came through without covering up the vanilla. I would buy it again for guests. It is a bottle I can see myself ordering again.
