High N’ Wicked Singular Limited Release No. 7 Foursquare “Mark X 2007” Finish is a meticulously crafted Single Grain Irish Whiskey, boasting a unique and sophisticated flavor profile. This limited release whiskey is a fusion of traditional Irish whiskey-making and innovative cask finishing, making it a distinctive choice for connoisseurs.
The whiskey is distilled in County Cork, Ireland, using a continuous Coffey column still. This method is known for producing a smooth and consistent spirit. The mash bill comprises 95% French Maize and 5% Malted Irish Barley, a blend that contributes to its unique character and flavor nuances.
Initially aged in ex-bourbon barrels, the whiskey undergoes a significant transformation during its 6-month finishing period in casks previously used for aging 12-year-old single blended rum from Foursquare, a renowned distillery in Barbados. This rum cask finish imparts an exotic and complex layer to the whiskey, integrating the rich and warm flavors of the Caribbean into its Irish roots.
The decision to forego chill filtering allows the whiskey to retain its full range of flavors and natural oils, enhancing its texture and taste. This results in a whiskey that is not only rich in flavor but also true to its original character.
