Glenglassaugh Portsoy Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a richly peated expression, inspired by the historic maritime village of Portsoy, located near the distillery. This whisky is a celebration of the deep, nautical character that defines the region, crafted to mirror the essence of its coastal heritage.
Matured in a distinctive combination of sherry, bourbon, and port casks, Glenglassaugh Portsoy develops a full-bodied depth over time, creating a whisky of exceptional balance and complexity. The sherry and bourbon casks impart a traditional richness, while the port casks add a unique layer of depth and nuance. This results in a whisky where the rich coastal character of the peated spirit is beautifully harmonized with the cask influences.

This had the warm bourbon flavor I was hoping for. I served it chilled and it opened up nicely. The chocolate was pleasant, the rich gave it some depth, and the finish stayed balanced.
