Description
Ballechin 10 Year Old Scotch Whisky is a heavily peated creation from the distinguished Edradour Distillery, in operation since 2003. This exceptional Scotch is distilled using barley, intensively infused with peat to a minimum level of 50ppm. This whisky is majorly matured in ex-bourbon casks, with a significant portion also aged in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, contributing to its enhanced depth and complexity. Bottled at 46% and unchillfiltered, it perfectly retains its authentic cask character. The name Ballechin pays tribute to a Perthshire farm distillery of the same name that ceased operation in 1927, known in its time for peated whisky, as noted by the renowned Alfred Barnard in the 1880s.

This was a nice pickup from Red Liquors. Edradour Ballechin 10 Year Old Scotch Whisky had enough flavor to stand out, especially the herbal, but still stayed clean and easy to drink.
