Clermont Steep American Single Malt Whiskey is not Bourbon or Scotch. The flavor, the composition, the factors that mold the final product, all diverge from the traditional paths of these well-known spirits. It’s an entirely new category of taste.
For Bourbon, the production requires a mash bill of at least 51% corn and it’s made entirely within the USA. On the other hand, American Single Malt Whiskey is crafted using 100% malted barley and is distilled at a single distillery in the USA, giving you the option of a peated or unpeated variant, or even a specific malt variety. Meanwhile, Scotch, similar to their single malt, uses 100% malted barley, is distilled at a single distillery, and is made exclusively in Scotland, offering peated or unpeated varieties.
