Baileys Original Irish Cream is the world’s first cream liqueur, born in 1974 through a collaboration between Irish whiskey expert Tom Jago and dairymen. Made from a blend of Irish whiskey and fresh cream, it incorporates a proprietary mix of cocoa and vanilla, emulsified to ensure a smooth, stable pour. Each year, around 200 million liters of Irish cream are used in production, sourced from over 40,000 cows on 1,500 farms, and homogenized with a small amount of vegetable oil to prevent separation.
